VALIDOGEN is pleased to announce its participation in the upcoming Single Domain Antibodies Conference 2025, taking place from September 29 to October 1, 2025, at Jaarbeurs, Utrecht, The Netherlands.
Our Principal Scientist, Iskandar Dib, will represent VALIDOGEN and share insights on our proprietary UNLOCK PICHIA® expression technology, which provides a versatile and powerful platform for recombinant protein production. Pichia pastoris (syn. Komagataella phaffii) has become a cornerstone for the production of a wide range of proteins — from biopharmaceuticals to enzymes, food and feed proteins, diagnostics, and biomaterials.
VALIDOGEN’s Pichia expression system is particularly well-suited for VHH (single-domain antibody) expression, offering development of high-performance methanol-induced and methanol-free production strains featuring robust folding capacity and efficient secretion.
Iskandar will present a poster (no. 149) on “Pichia Cultivation Strategies for VHH Expression”.
The work highlights a three-part case study with a bivalent VHH, demonstrating how tailored cultivation strategies and process optimization across different manufacturing scenarios deliver:
- Substantial productivity improvements
- Methanol-free process options
- Intensified processes based on shortened cultivation times
- Reliable scalability for industrial production
