VALIDOGEN will participate in the 12th Conference on Recombinant Protein Production (RPP12) taking place 7–9 October 2025 in Ulm/Neu-Ulm, Germany. This renowned event serves as a central forum for the exchange of knowledge and innovations in recombinant protein production.
Head of Operations, Roland Weis, and Head of Fermentation Process Development, Aid Atlic, will be on site to represent VALIDOGEN’s expertise in Pichia expression technology and advanced development services.
As part of the conference, VALIDOGEN will present a scientific poster entitled:
“Re-discovering Pichia: Overcoming cellular limitations”
The poster highlights the unique strengths of Pichia pastoris (Komagataella phaffii) as a host organism for recombinant protein production. Recognized as GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) by the U.S. FDA and included on the QPS (Qualified Presumption of Safety) list of EFSA, Pichia offers clear advantages over bacterial and mammalian systems.
VALIDOGEN’s UNLOCK PICHIA® platform further extends these benefits with a comprehensive toolbox for strain and process development, including:
- Promoter variants for methanol-induced and methanol-free expression
- Optimized secretion signals and helper factors
- Advanced cultivation strategies and platform strains
These technologies enable tailored solutions that overcome cellular bottlenecks, enhance productivity, ensure scalability, and streamline the path to manufacturing.
We look forward to engaging discussions with partners, collaborators, and industry peers at RPP12 in Neu-Ulm. If you are interested in meeting Roland and Aid there, we would be very happy to arrange a meeting.
